Who Are You Really? 5 Exercises to Reconnect with your True SelfWho are you… really? It’s an important question, but not one that a lot of people can answer on the fly. In a society where so many of us have spent a lifetime trying to mold ourselves into acceptable copies of what other people have taught us we should be, we’ve all but lost any concept we had of what we were born to be. In today’s podcast episode we delve into the “deep” question of self-identity and why it’s so important, not only to our own happiness, but to our ability to achieve our greatest dreams.

Who are you and why is it important?

In figuring out who we really are, we start to gain insight into what we want out of life and what our unique purpose in being here really is. This knowledge has always been within us and still lies buried there, waiting for us to come looking for it; waiting for us to remember. But remembering can be hard if you don’t know what you’re looking for in the first place, which is why I’ve put together five exercises that I’m going to go over with you in today’s show to help reintroduce you to your true self.

We only become what we are by the radical and deep-seated refusal of that which others have made of us. ~Jean-Paul Sartre

Letting go of what is, in order to discover what could be, is hard. But when you choose to let go of what is expected of you and choose instead to allow yourself to become what you were always meant to be – what you still are deep down inside – you open the door to real happiness. So figure out the answer to that question of “who are you”, because in rediscovering your own truth you uncover your purpose and path, rekindling your passion for life and your joy in existence.
