Did you know that unfinished projects are energy blocks and that all those things you’ve been leaving on the back burner for so long are sucking up the energy that you need to actually build your biggest dreams? I finally decided to deal with one of my own back-burner blocks this past week, so I cleared everything off my schedule and dedicated myself to finishing a project that I’ve been “working on” for almost a year now: I finished the first draft of my second book!
I still have to go through and revise it and work on the flow and transitions and such, but the bulk of the book is now finished, and I am so happy. It’s been driving me nuts having that thing hanging over my head for so long, and I am so happy to finally be getting to the next stage with it. It’s totally going to rock. 🙂
Clear your energy blocks
When I published my first book, back in August, I posted an article challenging you to pick something you’ve been “meaning to get around to” and to just blast through it and get it done. And I’m going to challenge you to do that once again – pick a project that’s been niggling in the back of your mind for a while and just finish it already!
Your energy-blocking unfinished projects are interfering with your ability to get to where you want to be in life. They’re a drain on your inner resources, and when you can get those projects cleared up and off your plate, it often frees up a whole whack of extra energy, creativity and inspired action to do even more. Not to mention the confidence boost that comes from successfully achieving a major milestone.
About the new book
If you’d like to learn more about the upcoming book and get updates as I release them, please sign up for my Book Updates mailing list. This is a different list than my regular newsletter mailing list (I will not be sending regular updates on the book to my regular list), so if you want the behind-the-scenes info and sneak peeks, you’ll have to be on the separate book list.
For now, I’ll just let you know that the book is about fear, how it affects our ability to build our dreams, and what we can do to get through it. I’m still a ways off from publishing, but I’m definitely getting closer, and I can’t wait to be able to share it with you!
And in the meantime give the challenge a go — get something big crossed off your long-term “To Do” list and start clearing some of your energy blocks this week!
