How to Cope When You're Afraid to Succeed - PinterestIn the last couple of videos we’ve been talking about fear of success, where it comes from, and how to tell if it’s something that’s holding you back from turning YOUR dreams into reality. Today we’re going to look at ways of dealing with the hidden thoughts that are causing you to be afraid to succeed.

The best way to deal with these subconscious fears is to start becoming aware of them so that you can deal with them consciously. It starts with understanding that there are both good and bad aspects to any dream or goal that you have.

Facing your fear of success head-on and figuring out how you plan to deal with the inevitable changes that will come with your success before you get there is usually enough to get yourself back on track to achieving your original goal!

The other thing to keep in mind if you’re afraid to succeed is that even though you may be worried that you’ll become someone you don’t want to be — that you’ll “forget where you came from” and become mean, arrogant, condescending, or otherwise unpleasant if you allow yourself to become successful – success in and of itself does not have the power to turn you into something you’re not. A change in your circumstance cannot cause a change in your personality unless you allow it to. I think actor Will Smith summed it up nicely when he said that “Money and success don’t change people. They merely amplify what is already there.”
