How to Program Your Subconscious Mind for Success - Pinterest pinI’ve talked before about how you can use affirmations to help program your future, but did you know that you can also use simple psychology hacks to help program your subconscious mind for success, too?

The first exercise I ask people to do in my new book, fearLESS: How to Conquer Your Fear, Stop Playing Small, and Start Living and Extroardinary Life You Love is to write down their big dream, or goal, or vision. I ask them to tak a moment to get clear about what, exactly, their dream is and put it down, on paper – no computer allowed.

Why handwriting on paper? Because studies have shown that writing uses more areas of your brain than typing , and because writing activates an area of your brain called the Reticular Activating System (or RAS for short) , which is a filtering system that decides what you pay attention to and how important the incoming information is.

Basically, your RAS acts as the guardian at the gate to your higher-level mind. It’s like the executive assistant whose job is to prevent unimportant callers from taking up any of the boss’s precious time.

In today’s vlog episode, we talk about how this process works and how to harness this hidden filtering system to help you build your biggest dreams and goals and improve your odds of success! If you want to learn more about how simple psychology tricks can help you program your subconscious mind, overcome your fears, and build your biggest dreams, be sure to grab a copy of fearLESS; it’s available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and 800CEOREAD.
