The Power of Intention

Let me tell you a little story about the power of intention: on one of my vision boards for this year is a picture of the Amazon logo. It was meant to represent my desire to have at least one book on the Amazon bestseller list this year. Yesterday, that desire became reality, with my first published book, Seven Minute Stress Busters, hitting the top-ten bestseller lists simultaneously in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. For a while, it was even the #1 stress management book in Canada! Chalk one up for my totally awesome manifestation skills!

Earlier this year, I also manifested a beautiful home to live in (without proof of income, I might add), unexpected sales on most of the furniture I needed to buy for that house, and access to a car when I need one (even though I don’t own one myself). All of these things were on my vision board and every single one of them was manifested without a lot of effort or stress on my part. That’s how powerful this stuff is.

Now here’s the thing: not one of those things manifested in the way I had been thinking of at the time I put them on my vision boards. But here’s the critical part – I wasn’t attached to what I was thinking of; it didn’t really matter to me how these things came about, and in most of those cases, I had absolutely no idea how they could possibly come about. But they did.

Now, the book is currently being promoted via Kindle free-days, so it’s only a bestseller on the free lists, rather than the paid. I’m not sure I can realistically call myself a “bestselling author” just yet because of that, but do you think I’m upset about that? Not in the least. I am SO excited about this… when the promotion for the book started, I had NO IDEA that this would happen. It’s really exciting for me to see my little book up there in the #1 spot on Amazon for any reason! And it’s proof to me that the power of intention is a real thing, a force to be reckoned with.

Number 1 in Canada for stress management!

And I gotta tell you, it’s seriously lit a fire under me. We are hitting the last quarter of the year now and I am flat out determined to crush it over the next three months. I’ve got stuff I’ve been “planning on” doing for most of the year, most of which has not been done. But this Amazon thing has totally rekindled my determination. This girl means business, people, and things are going to happen!

So now I want to know, what are your intentions? What is it that you want to do, have or become over the remainder of this year? What will you put on your vision board that you want to see manifest over the next few months? How will you use the power of intention?
